IPR Cell Activities

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are legal rights that protect intellectual creations. These rights grant creators or owners exclusive rights to utilize their intellectual creations for a specified period of time. A variety of intangible assets are included in intellectual property, such as innovations, literary and creative works, designs, names, symbols, and pictures used in trade.

The Haldia Government College established an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell in 2023 with the goal of raising consciousness among stakeholders as well as offering knowledge by organizing and carrying out activities pertaining to IPRs within the institution.

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. To raise awareness and provide guidance regarding the significance of intellectual property rights (IPR) among the institution’s stakeholders.
  2. To organize seminars, workshops, and training sessions on intellectual property rights.
  3. To provide information on patent filing procedures for upcoming ventures.
  4. To promote the involvement of patentable works among faculty members, research scholars, and students.
  5. To inspire inventors to produce innovative ideas and support them in preserving their creations.
  6. To provide possibilities for the creation of products and commercialization.
