Physical Education

Department of Physical Education, was established in 1988 under the Course affiliated by Vidyasagar University. It plays a crucial role in promoting physical  education  and sports in Purba Medinipur district.

• The Department of Physical Education at Haldia Government College offers a general degree course in physical education under CBCS and Sport & Fitness under NEP-2020 as 3 year  Multidisciplinary course  .
• Interested candidates are offered physical education as one of their combination as major subject under NEP-2020, and under CBCS pattern as an elective subjects for the students of B.A. general course.
• The department aims to foster physical fitness, sportsmanship, and overall well-being among students.
• Department provides Bachelor of Physical Education as an elective subject with B.A. general degree.

Department is properly  equipped with different modern-day sports and other laboratory equipment related to health and fitness.
