Awards & Recognition

Haldia Government College has recognized by the State Government as one of the Best Performing College in academic session 2020-21 for issuing remarkable number of Knayashree Prakalpa scholarship among girl students. This recognition has inspired both the students and faculty members of the college for further initiatives.

In last five years, many students of Haldia Government College who were also either NCC cadet or NSS volunteers, have been selected to participate in numerous numbers of state and national level programs organized by various institutions outside of the district or state and got recognized for their performances. This, without any doubt were achievements not only for the students but also for the institution.  The awards/ recognition achieved by the students of this college through various extension activities are as follows:

• Adventure Camp by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports, HP (2018): Two NSS volunteers, Prasenjit Barman and Ganesh Barman hasbeen selected for participating in the National level adventure camp at Manali from 12.09.2018 to 21.09.2018. They had trekked 65 km and attained 9400ft. Height.
• Republic Day Camp 2018 (IGC): JUO Krishna Laiya, NCC Cadets, has been selected for participating in Republic Day Camp 2018 (IGC), 2018at Kalyani from 28.10.2018 to 06.11.2018 and represented Haldia Government College.
• East Zone Shooting Coaching Capsule (2019): JUO Krishna Laiya, NCC Cadets, has been selected for participating in East Zone Shooting Coaching Capsuleconducted by 10 Bengal BN NCC, Asansol from 21^st May to 30^th May, 2019 at Asansol.
• Republic Day Camp 2019 (IGC): Cdt. Karuna Maity, NCC Cadet, has been selected for participating in Republic Day Camp (IGC), 2019 at Kalyani from 07.11.2019 to 16.11.2019 and represented Haldia Government College.
• Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Camp- II (2019): JUO Krishna Laiya, NCC Cadets, has been selected for participating in EK BHARAT SHRESHTH BHARAT CAMP- IIconducted by 16 Bengal BN NCC, Darjeeling from 13.12.2019 to 24.12.2019.
• Republic Day Parade, 2020: JUO Krishna Laiyaand Karuna Maity, NCC cadre of Haldia Government College, has been selected for participating in Republic Day Parade on 26^th January, 2020 at Kolkata.
• Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Camp- II (2020): SUO Labani Das, NCC Cadet, has been selected for participating in EK BHARAT SHRESHTH BHARAT CAMP- IIconducted by 16 Bengal BN NCC, Darjeeling from 25.09.2020 to 30.09.2020.
• All India Kanchenjunga Sikkim Trek (Girls) 2021: Cdt Nilanjana Das, NCC Cadet of Haldia Government College, had attend national level trekking program at Namchi, Sikkim from 16.11.2021 to 22.11.2021.
• Inter Group Shooting Competition 2022: Cdt Bhakti Mondal, NCC Cadet of Haldia Government College, had participated in the Inter Group Shooting Competition 2022 under 10 Bengal BN NCC, Asansol from 10.06.2022 to 17.06.2022 at Asansol.
• THAL SAINIK CAMP (IGC) 2022: Cdt Ujjwal Das, NCC Cadet of Haldia Government College, had participated in the THAL SAINIK CAMP (IGC) 2022 conducted by 46 Bengal BN NCC at Contai from 11.08.2022 to 20.08.2022. Sangita Kandar, another NCC Cadet had participated THAL SAINIK CAMP (IGC) 2022conducted by 4 Sikkim BN NCC, Namchi from 18.08.2022 to 27.08.2022. at Namchi, Sikkim.
• All India Odisha Trek: JUO Animesh Das Madraji, NCC Cadet of Haldia Government College, had participated in the All India Odisha Trek at Bhawanipatna, Odisha from 19.09.2022 to 26.09.2022.
• West Bengal State NSS Republic Day Parade Camp (2019): Koyel Murmu, NSS volunteer of this college has been selected for participating in West Bengal State NSS Republic Day Parade Camp 09.01.2019-26.01.2019 at Kolkata.
