ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF HALDIA GOVERNMENT COLLEGE
The Haldia Government College Alumni Association was formally registered on 8th February, 2024 under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 vide Registration No. S0040943 of 2023-24. But the philanthropic activities of the ex-students of this College are being continuously carried on since the beginning of this 21st. century at different levels—local, institutional, regional, virtual, and national etc. The activities include literacy movement, cleaning of local areas, inculcating social awareness regarding public health and hygiene, environment, digital literacy etc. At times, endeavours were taken to make the Association registered formally. But due to individual reasons or so of the pioneer ex-students the finalisation of the resolution have been deferred for many a times. At last, the latest resolution to make the Association registered was adopted in a meeting of the ex-students on 23.02.2023. Subsequently, a Memorandum of Association was finalised. The College Authorities allotted one dedicated room (No. 212A) to conduct the activities of the Association. We all wish a happy and effective journey of the Association.
Alumni Activities
The alumnus of Haldia Government College have participated in several support activities in different years:
Apart from the above-mentioned activities, alumni association work persistently for the development of the institution. During AMPHAN alumni students had come forward and contributed in the rebuilding of the affected part of the campus. During COVID 19 pandemic, they had distributed masks, sanitizers, and medicines in the nearby locality. Through the course of time, alumni students had participated in sports activities, cultural activities and many other activities as well.
