RUSA 2.0 PMU

RUSA 2.0 Fund Project Monitoring Unit (PMU):

The college is a beneficiary of the RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) 2.0 fund. The RUSA 2.0 Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) of Haldia Government College plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of the projects under RUSA 2.0 fund.

Role and responsibility:

• The PMU acts as a supervisory body for RUSA projects within the college.
• It ensures that the approved projects are executed as per the guidelines and timelines.
• Regular monitoring helps identify bottlenecks and facilitates timely corrective actions.
• The PMU oversees the financial aspects of RUSA projects.
• It ensures proper utilization of allocated funds, adherence to budgetary provisions, and transparent financial reporting.
• Any deviations or discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• The PMU conducts regular assessments of project progress.
• The PMU acts as a bridge between the college and state-level RUSA authorities. It helps to prepare different documentation and reports regarding fund utilization, monthly progress reports, and other reports as required by the State RUSA Directorate.
• It ensures smooth communication, timely submissions, and compliance with directives.
• The members of RUSA 2.0 PMU meet on a regular basis and take different financial decisions, such as reviewing the e-tendering process for any procurement, sanctioning funds to the vendor, etc.

Evidence of success:

1. A Rs 2 crore development grant has been sanctioned under the RUSA 2.0 fund after the cycle 2 assessment and accreditation of this college by NAAC.
2. Under the supervision of the RUSA 2.0 PMU, the college has been able to utilize the fund of Rs. 1.43 crore (95% of the total fund sanctioned) so far for different infrastructural augmentation-related works of the institution.

Formation of RUSA 2.0 PMU:

The RUSA 2.0 PMU of the college has been formed on August 8, 2018. Since then it was revised two times on 16.10.2019 and on 20.09.2022. The following are the current members of the RUSA 2.0 Project Monitoring Unit (PMU):
